Utility Functions
Key Path
From File Displays a browser window for you to locate and select an option file from mass storage
media for installation. Using the up and down navigation keys you can highlight and then select the
option you want to install.

From Type Displays a form for you to enter an option identification number for installation. For
example, 271 for the Spectrogram option or N8995A for the Stimulus/Response Measurement Suite
option.

Install Info Displays a table that lists the current manufacturing information about your
analyzer that you must provide to Agilent to install a user-installable option. When you
call your Agilent sales representative to order an option, you will need to provide the
following information shown on this table:
• Model number
• Serial number
• Host ID

Key Path
License Key (Remote command only) Enables you to enter the license key for the option to
be installed. The license key is a hexadecimal number that will require entry of both
letters and numbers. A license key is a 12-character hexadecimal string. The license key is
unique to a specific option installed and instrument host ID.
