State Recalling a state restores most settings to the previously saved values. When you
recall a State file into the analyzer, the file data restores most analyzer settings to the
previously saved values. Some settings are not saved and restored in the State files, for
example the save state options; these settings are called "persistent." In this guide, each
function describes whether that function is saved in "Instrument State" or is persistent.

Trace Traces can be recalled individually or as a group. When a trace is recalled, the state
that existed when that trace was saved is recalled along with the trace. In addition, the
recalled trace is placed in view mode.
The contents of the file are recalled into TRACE 1. The file name must have a file
extension of .trc. The file extension determines whether a trace is recalled, or a trace with
its state, are recalled. The .trc extension is for files that include both trace and state data.
