IP Address Enables you to set the IP Address for your analyzer. If IP Config is set to DHCP, this
key is unavailable and the IP Address is automatically assigned if the Host Name is recognized by
the network. So the displayed IP address is not used. The IP address displayed on the menu key will
only be used if IP Config is set to Static. To view the DHCP-assigned IP address, press Mode.
The Internet address is a 32-bit station Internet Protocol (IP) address by which a specific device on
the network host can be found. An Internet address consists of a network number and a node ID. It
is assigned to every host that wants to use TCP/IP to communicate across an internet:
• The address typically consists of a network and a host field
• IP addresses are written in dotted decimal notation; for example, 123.45.67.89

Net Mask Enables you to set the Net Mask for your analyzer. If IP Config is set to DHCP, this key
is unavailable and the Net Mask is automatically assigned if the Host Name is recognized by the
network. So the displayed setting is not used.
The IP network mask is a number that describes which portion of the device's IP address represents
the network address and which portion of the IP address represents the host address. The mask
contains 1s for the bit positions in the 32-bit address used for the network and subnet parts, and 0s
for the host part. The mask should contain at least the standard network portion.
