• Change the stop frequency to a new value that lies above the stop frequency of your
previous calibration
• Change any of the cables that you used for the calibration
• Change any of the attenuators that you used for the calibration
• Change the type of cable specified under the Cable Type menu key (Distance to Fault
measurement).
To perform a Return Loss Calibration, first select the desired frequency and then follow
the steps in the calibration wizard. To calibrate your spectrum analyzer, you will need the
following pieces of equipment:
• Open/Short, Type N(m) 85032–60011
• 50 Ohm Load, Type N(m) 00909–60009
NOTE
These parts are available as part of the N1996A-SRK Stimulus
Response Calibration Kit.

Calibration Start Freq Use this key to specify the Start Frequency of your calibration
frequency range. It is important that you keep the calibration frequency range as close as
possible to the actual sweep frequencies you intend using for the measurement or
measurements. For additional information, refer to
NOTE
The Calibrate Start/Stop frequencies define the frequency range over
which the CALIBRATION will take place, and do NOT define the
frequency range over which the MEASUREMENT will be made.
