To preserve the trace data, the traces contained in the saved files are placed in View mode
(see Trace/View) so that they are not immediately overwritten by new trace data. This
means that you can save traces while making a measurement, and later recall them back
into the analyzer. Then you can print them or transfer them to a computer, in XLS format
(using Measurement Results Data), for analysis. If you want to compare two saved traces,
place both traces in view mode before saving them. This prevents the trace from being
rewritten based on a state change from subsequent recalls.

Measurement Results Data Defines the data to be saved as a file containing a copy of the
analyzer measurement data that was current at the time the file is saved. Measurement
results files are saved in .xls format (for importing into spreadsheets). That is, a file
containing trace data in a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet format for analysis. They cannot be
recalled back into the analyzer. A Measurement Results file cannot be recalled into the
analyzer.

Bitmap Enables you to select the format for your saved screen file. The default format for a
screen file is Bit-Mapped Graphic. A Bit-Mapped Graphic file is a file containing an exact
bit representation of the screen stored in Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format. You
