(b) Simple operation mode 1
If the parameter "#8957 T meas (L)-Simple mode" is set to "1", designate the offset No. to write the compensation
amount when pressing the [Offset write] menu.
(Example) Carrying out tool measurement for offset No.4, X axis and Z axis
Select the tool to be measured with a manual

numerical value command. (Refer to "3.10 Manual
Numerical Value Command" for details.)
Manually align the tool nose with the measurement

point.
Press the address key of the axis to measure (X

axis) or the [Measure X] menu.
To measure another axis continuously, press the

address key of the axis to measure (Z axis) or the
[Measure Z] menu.

Press the [Offset write] menu.
Input an offset No.

(Example) 4 [INPUT]
(Note 1) Compensation amount is written in diameter value for diameter command, or in radius value for radius
command.
(Note 2) When offset write is executed for an axis that has not completed zero point return, the operation message
"TLM axis not returned to ref. position" will appear.
(Note 3) When the parameter "#1124 ofsfix" is "0", the cursor moves to the next offset No. However, when "#1124
ofsfix" is "1", the cursor does not move to the next offset No.
(Note 4) When the parameter "#11017 T-ofs set at run" is "1", the tool compensation amount data can be set even
during automatic operation or operation pause.
(Note 5) If the measurement result exceeds the setting range of the tool compensation amount, the operation message
"Setting error" will appear and the offset write cannot be executed.

The tool to be measured is selected.
Calculation result of X axis is displayed in "Measure value".
The [Measure X] menu is highlighted.
Calculation result of Z axis is displayed in "Measure value" by
maintaining the X axis "Measure value".
The [Measure Z] menu is highlighted.
The operation message "Input offset No." displays.
The measurement result will be set in the specified offset No.
(X and Z axes). The specified offset No. will display at the top
and the cursor will move to the same line.
(Note) The measurement value is cleared and the highlight of
the menus ([Measure X] to [Measure C]) is canceled.
