● This manual reflects the installation of the Wi-Fi Interface (PAC-WHS01WF-E), Wireless Interface 1
(PAC-USWHS002-WF-1), and Wireless Interface 2 (PAC-USWHS002-WF-2) for the 2.12 and 2.14
kumo cloud app release updates.
● This manual has not been updated yet to show the additions of the 2.12 and 2.14 updates, but the
manual will be updated in the near future.
Note: The changes in 2.12 and 2.14 were minor and did not change the overall way the equipment is installed.
● The Wireless Interface 1 and 2 must connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
● The Wireless Interface 1 and 2 will not work on a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
○ The Wireless Interface 1 and 2 can only connect to Wi-Fi channels 1-11.
● For the best performance connect the Wireless Interface 1 and 2 to a 2.4 GHz only SSID, but there
are some multi-band Wi-Fi networks that can correctly manage a 2.4 GHz only device.
○ Please verify if your multi-band Wi-Fi router can manage 2.4 GHz only devices.
Note: The set up of the Wireless Interface to the kumo cloud app requires a Wi-Fi network with a live internet
connection.

    Wait until the amber LED turns on and then begins to blink (about 8 seconds), then release the button. If using first generation Wireless Interfaces (PAC-WHS01WF-E), skip to First Generation Wireless Interfaces.

    Airflow according to the unit model. If this screen doesn’t appear, airflow/static pressure doesn’t apply, or must be set using dip switches as shown in the indoor unit installation manual.     In the kumo cloud app, tap Settings > System Setup > Installer Settings. Enter the installer login (9999). Tap the required site and then tap the zone.     Wireless Interface and the local wireless router. If there is a Very Weak Signal or No Signal, consider relocating the Wireless Interface, relocating the router, adding a repeater, or use a Mitsubishi Electric IT Extender (PAC-WHS01IE-E). The Wireless Interface signal generally reaches beyond the average size of a home without interference or obstructions.

    Program Settings The PAC-USWHS003-TH-1 Mitsubishi Electric Wireless Temperature and Humidity Sensor is a wireless sensor that is designed to provide remote sensing capabilities to the Wireless Interface. This is an optional part. One Wireless Sensor may be configured for each Wireless Interface.

    ® kumo station The PAC-WHS01HC-E, Mitsubishi Electric Equipment Controller, kumo station contains relays that allow for controls integration of third-party backup heaters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, ventilation systems, and hydronic heaters. kumo station may be optionally wired to an indoor unit. If you choose this configuration, set up the indoor unit zone via kumo cloud before adding any kumo station accessories.

    ® The kumo cloud 2.9.1 app can be used with first-generation Wireless Interfaces (PAC-WHS01WF-E), sold in 2016 and earlier. Some features are unavailable with this older Interface. Old Interfaces and new Wireless Interfaces (PAC-USWHS002-WF-1 and PAC-USWHS002-WF-2) cannot be used together in the same kumo cloud account.
