b. Regulator Motor Removal—57 and 67 Styles
NOTE: The procedure for removing the
electric motor from the rear quarter window
regulator assembly is similar to the procedure
for the regulator motor removal for rear door
window. Refer to Note 46.
c. Removal and Installation—67 Styles
1. Remove rear seat cushion and back, folding
top compartment side trim panel and rear quarter
trim assembly.
2. Remove rear quarter inner panel access hole
cover.
3. Operate window to full up position and prop
in that position.
4. On styles equipped with electric window reg-
ulators, disconnect feed wire plug from electric
motor.
CAUTION: Do not operate regulator motor
after regulator assembly is disengaged from the
window assembly or after it is removed from
the body. Operation of the motor with load re-
moved may damage unit.
5. Remove regulator attaching screws, Fig.
16-72. Disengage regulator lift arm roller from
window lower sash channel cam and remove re-
gulator.
6. To install window regulator assembly, re-
verse removal procedure.
Lubricate regulator sector, window cams and
pivot hinge.
Seal regulator attaching screws and inner panel
access hole cover.
73. Rear Quarter Window Guide
Assembly—Removal and
Installation
a. Front Guide—57 Styles
1. Remove rear seat cushion and seat back. Re-
move rear quarter arm rest and trim assemblies.
Remove rear quarter inner panel large access
hole cover.
2. With window in "up" position, remove win-
dow front guide upper and lower attaching stud
nuts, Fig. 16-71.
3. Maneuver guide assembly between rear
quarter panels so that upper end of guide can be
started out of large access hole; then remove
guide assembly.
4. To install rear quarter window front guide
assembly, reverse removal procedure. Prior to
installation of front guide assembly, lubricate
channels of guide along full length of channels.
Adjust front guide assembly for proper window
alignment and operation as necessary.
Seal front guide attaching screws as specified
in Note 75.
b. Rear Guide—57 Styles
1. Remove rear seat cushion and back assem-
blies. Remove rear quarter arm rest and trim
assemblies. Remove rear quarter inner panel
large access hole cover.
2. With window in "up" position remove window
rear guide attaching screws, Fig. 16-71. Disen-
gage guide from roller on window lower sash
channel and remove guide through access hole.
3. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Prior to installation of rear guide lubricate the
entire length of the channel.
Adjust rear guide for proper window alignment
and operation as necessary.
Seal rear guide attaching screws as specified
in Note 75.
c. Quarter Window Guide—67 Styles
1. Remove rear seat cushion and seat back. Re-
move folding top compartment side trim panel,
and rear quarter trim assembly.
2. Remove inner panel access hole cover and
rear quarter window assembly. On styles equip-
ped with electric window regulators, remove win-
dow regulator assembly.
3. Remove window guide upper and center at-
taching nuts and lower attaching screw, Fig.
16-72. Disengage window guide and remove guide
through large access hole.
4. To install rear quarter window guide, re-
verse removal procedure. Adjust the guide for
p r o p e r window alignment and operation as
necessary.
Seal window guide attaching screws, access hole
plug at lock pillar and inner panel access hole
cover as specified in Note 75.
74. Quarter Window Glass Run
Outer Sealing Strip—67 Styles
Removal and Installation
1. Remove rear quarter window assembly.
2. Remove screws securing sealing strip to
outer panel and remove strip.
3. To install rear quarter window glass run
outer sealing strip, reverse removal procedure.
