10. Windshield Wiper-Washer Switch
Removal and Installation
a. Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable at battery.
2. Disconnect 3-way wire c o n n e c t o r from
wiper-washer switch and pry switch from instru-
ment panel.
3. Remove two screws and remove switch from
escutcheon.
b. Installation
1. Install switch on escutcheon and secure with
two screws.
2. Press switch assembly into instrument panel
and connect 3-way wire connector to wiper-
washer switch connector.
3. Connect negative battery cable at battery.

Removal and Installation
a. Removal
1. Remove upper instrument panel cover as
described in Note la.
2. Disconnect feed wire at control selector
assembly, Fig. 15-6.
3. Disconnect bowden cable from power unit
regulator.
4. Attach a five foot piece of wire or heavy
string to end of bowden cable disconnected at
power unit and then pull cable through cowl grom-
met from inside car with selector assembly. Re-
move wire or string from cable and leave in cowl.
NOTE: The piece of wire or heavy string
attached to the bowden cable will insure cable
being routed properly when installed. Do not
bend or kink bowden cable.
b. Installation
1. Attach wire or heavy string to power unit
end of bowden cable inside car and pull through
cowl grommet from outside of car.
NOTE: Do not attach cable to power unit
until control selector assembly is installed
and secured into position.
2. Position control selector assembly on lower
instrument panel subassembly and connect feed
wire.
3. Install upper instrument panel cover as de-
scribed in Note lb.
4. Connect bowden cable at power unit regulator
and adjust as described in Section 12, Note 101.
12. Convertible Top Control Switch
Removal and Installation
a. Removal
1. Pry switch assembly out of steering column
cover.
