5. Remove nuts securing motor and transmis-
sion support to adjuster assembly, Fig. 16-64 for
outboard adjuster, and Fig. 16-65 for inboard
adjuster.
6. Carefully disengage adjuster from support
and torque tube assembly; then remove adjuster
from seat.
7. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Check seat adjusters for proper operation.
d. Front Seat Back Assembly
Removal and Installation
1. On 6339 and 6389 styles remove front seat
assembly, as previously described, and place
upside down on a clean protected surface.
2. On underside of seat cushion, on 6339 and
6389 styles, loosen rear bar cover material suf-
ficiently to expose seat cushion to seat back frame
attaching bolts. Attaching bolts are located at
right and left lower rear corners of seat cushion
frame.
3. Remove bolts securing back assembly to
seat cushion frame assembly.
4. On all styles, using a flat-bladed tool, care-
fully remove retainer from outer hinge pin,
Fig. 16-66.

5. On all styles, tilt seat back forward and
remove retainer from inner hinge pin, Fig. 16-66.
6. On all styles carefully disengage front seat
back outer hinge arm from pin.
7. Move entire seat back assembly inboard until
inner hinge pin is disengaged from extension on
seat assembly; then, remove seat back from body.
8. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Prior to installation of back assembly, be sure
inner and outer washers are installed over the
hinge pins, Fig. 16-66.

1. Operate seat assembly to fully raised and
midway horizontal position.
2. Remove front seat assembly from body as
