Accelerator Pump Lever
The pump lever has one hole instead of five
(Fig. 10-9, 10, 11, 12, 21, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31
and 32).
Pump Lever Clip
The pump lever clip is a spring clip instead of
a hairpin clip (Fig. 10-9, 10, 11, 12, 25, 28,29,30,
31 and 32).
Accelerator Pump Rod
The rod is bent at a different angle (Fig. 10-11,
12, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32).
Idle Vent Guard and Valve
The valve and guard are not used on 1963
models (Fig. 10-27).

b. Idle Speed-Up Control Removal
(On Cars Equipped with Air Conditioner)
1. Remove three mounting plate to bowl cover
screws and lock washers and remove idle speed-
up control and mounting plate, Fig. 10-9. These
screws are slightly longer than the remaining
bowl cover screws.
