Automatic Control Engages at

Selector Switch.

Pulsating Accelerator Pedal
Carburetor Does Not Return
to Normal Idle.
Unit Does Not Control at Se-
lected Speed.
Speedometer Does Not Regis-
ter or Unit Does Not Operate
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Continuous ground in ground
circuit or switch.
Inoperative cut-out switch on
brake pedal.
Omni-switch not properly ad-
justed.
Speedometer
cable or
drive
cable kinked or lack of lub-
rication.
Improper
accelerator linkage
adjustment.
Improper
carburetor
or
ac-
celerator
linkage adjustment.
Weak throttle return spring.
Improper control cable adjust-
ment.
Selector dial not installed pro-
perly.
Speedometer
drive
gear
in
transmission defective.
Broken drive cable from trans-
mission to power unit.
Damaged drive gear or nylon
gear in power unit.
REMEDY
Check for ground and repair
as required.
Perform Electrical Test, Note
98b.
Perform Electrical Test, Note
98b.
Adjust
brake light switch or
replace is necessary.
Adjust Omni-switch points ac-
cording to Note 102.
Lubricate or replace
cables
if necessary.
Adjust accelerator linkage.
Adjust throttle control rod T.V.
rod, and accelerator linkage.
Replace spring.
Adjust
control cable as de-
scribed in Note 101.
Reinstall selector dial as de-
scribed in Note 95.
Replace gear.
Replace drive cable.
Replace nylon gear.
If metal
drive gear is damaged, replace
housing assembly.
