10. Install regulator valve body cover plate.
11. Install neutral clutch by-pass reed valve.
g. Manual Valve Body— Disassembly, Fig. 6-71
1. Remove two screws retaining TV lever stop
and remove stop.
CAUTION: Do not change setting of factory
adjusted TV stop screw.
2. Remove detent plug, detent valve, line drop
signal valve and signal valve spring.
3. Remove TV plunger guide and plunger and
remove plunger from guide.
4. Remove TV spring and detent pin.
5. Remove throttle valve.
6. Clip one end of reverse blocker piston re-
taining pin.
7. Hold thumb over reverse blocker piston bore
and remove retaining pin.
8. Remove reverse blocker piston and spring.
Manual valve body is now completely disas-
sembled and an inspection of parts should be made
(see Note 17a) before valve body is assembled.
h. Manual Valve Body—Assembly
1. Install reverse blocker piston, slotted end
out.
2. Install reverse blocker spring and hold it
compressed while installing new retaining pin.
3. Crimp end of pin to retain.
4. Install throttle valve, large land first, into
manual body.
5. Install TV spring and detent pin into TV bore.
6. Install TV plunger guide on TV plunger and
install as unit.
7. Install line drop signal valve spring and
valve, lining up spring to be sure it is fully po-
sitioned in bottom of bore.
