For all routers with a Type 2 (Teknor) Routing Engine, the serial number ID label is located

on the top right side of the Routing Engine (see

labels on the Routing Engine, the label marked " Teknor Silicon Serial ID" is the correct

serial number. The serial number ID label includes two serial numbers: a 16-digit number

on the top and a 10-digit number on the bottom. Give both serial numbers to JTAC.

For M40 routers, the serial number that you use depends on whether you purchased the

Routing Engine housing or just the Routing Engine. If you purchased the Routing Engine

housing, the serial number is located on the maxicab, as shown in
