Monitor the router chassis to ensure that the installed components are operating normally
and that packets are being forwarded to their destination.
The router chassis is a rigid sheet-metal structure that houses all of the router hardware
components. For more information about the router chassis, see the appropriate router
hardware guide.

Replace the failed component with one
that you know works and check its status.
1.
Locate the component serial number
ID label.
2. Obtain a Return Material Authorization
(RMA) from JTAC.
3. Pack the component and ship it.
