Special Tools Required
Strut spring compressor, Branick MST-580A or Model
7200, or equivalent. commercially available.
Removal
1. Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with
safety stands in the proper locations
(see page 1-13). Remove the front wheel.
2 . R e m o v e t h e f l a n g e b o l t ( A ) a n d b r a k e h o s e
mounting bracket (B)from the damper.
Remove the cotter pin (A) from the lower arm ball
joint, and remove the castle nut (B)

Remove the lower arm ball joint from the knuckle
u s i n g t h e s p e c i a l t o o l ( s e e p a g e 1 8 - 1 0 ) .

5. Remove the flange nuts (A)trom the top of the
o a m p e r .
Remove the flange bolt (A) at the bottom of the
o a m p e r .
