Does the ABS indicator come on, and are DTCs 21,
22, 23, 24 indicated ?
YES Go to step 3.
NO The system is OK al this time. t
3. Check the appropriate pulser gears for a chipped or
damaged tooth (see table).

Are the pulser gears OK?
YES Check for loose terminals in the ABS control
unit 25P connector. lf necessary, substitute a
known-good ABS modulator-control unit, and
recheck.l
NO Replace the driveshaft or hub unit with the
c h i p p e d p u l s e r g e a r . I
DTC 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38: Solenoid
1. Clearthe DTC (see step 1 on page 19-35).
2 . T u r n t h e i g n i t i o n s w i t c h O N { l l } .
3. Verify the DTC.
Doesthe ABS indicator come on, and are DTCs 31,
32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 indicated?
YES Check for loose terminals in the ABS control
unit 25P connector. lf necessary, substitute a
