DTC Pl519: IAC Valve Circuit Malfunction
1 . R e s e t t h e E C M ( s e e p a g e 1 1 - 4 ; .
2 . T u r n t h e i g n i t i o n s w i t c h O N ( l l ) .
ls DTC P 1519 indicated?
YES Go to step 3,
NO Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at
the IAC valve and at the ECM.I
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Disconnectthe IAC valve 3P connector.
5. Turn the ignition switch ON (lli.
6. Measure voltage between IAC valve 3P connector
t e r m i n a l N o . 2 a n d b o d y g r o u n d .
IAC VALVE 3P CONNECTOR
IGP {YEL/BLK}
W i r e s i d e o f f e m a l e t e r m i n a l s
ls there battery voltage?
YES Go to step 7.
NO Repair open in the wire between the IAC valve
a n d t h e P G M - F l m a i n r e l a y . I
Turn the ignition switch OFF.

8. Check for continuity between body ground and IAC

Wire side of female terminals
ls there continuity?
YES Go to step 9.
NO Repair open in the wire between the IAC valve
a n d G ' 1 0 1 . 1
Disconnect ECM connector B (25P).
Check for continuity between body ground and
ECM connector terminal B23.
ECM CONNECTOR B (25P)

YES Repair shon in the wire between the IAC
v a l v e a n d t h e E C M ( 8 2 3 ) . I
NO Go to step 11.
