Horn Switch Test
R e m o v e t h e s t e e r i n g c o l u m n u p p e r a n d l o w e r
cover {see page 17-9).
Disconnect the dashboard wire harness B 4P
connector (A) from the cable reel (B).
Check for continuity between the cable reel No. 2
t e r m i n a l a n d b o d y g r o u n d i n e a c h s w i t c h p o s i t i o n
according to the table.
. lf there is continuity. the horn switch is OK.
. lf there is no continuity, go to step 4.

Remove the driver's airbag (see page 23-65).
Check for continuity between the cable reel No. 2
terminal (A) and the horn switch posltive terminal
( B ) .
. l f t h e r e l s n o c o n t i n u i t y , r e p l a c e t h e c a b l e r e e l
(see page 23-72) and check for proper operation.
. lfthere is continuity, replace the horn switch.
