  • Page 2 INTRODUCTION This bulletin covers the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of the 2016 Civic.   • Page 3 Models with Push Button Start To prevent parasitic draw, the vehicle comes from the factory with the No. 18 BACKUP (10 A) fuse removed from the main under-hood fuse box. With it removed, the engine will not start when you apply the brake pedal (clutch pedal on M/T models) and press the ENGINE START/STOP button.
  • Page 4 Fuel the Vehicle Make sure the No. 18 BACKUP (10 A) fuse is installed before filling up the fuel tank (see “Install the Fuses”). If you do it without it installed, the fuel gauge will take much longer than normal to show an accurate reading. If this happens, and you do not want to wait for the gauge to show the correct level, turn the ignition to OFF and let the vehicle sit for 10 minutes.

Place the driver’s floor mat eyelets over the hooks in the floor, then turn the knobs clockwise to the lock position.   • Page 6 Under Vehicle (On Lift) NOTE: A flat lift may interfere with the side spoiler. Use attachments that help prevent damaging it. Install the Body Plugs Install the four body plugs as shown. Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Half-Height) Install the Front License Plate Holder If state regulations require the use of a front license plate, install the holder as shown: Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Ground) Set the Tire Pressures...
  • Page 7 Low Tire Pressure/TPMS indicator blinks twice, telling you the calibration process has begun. Once started, the calibration will complete on its own. Driver Information Interface Method (LX-A with Honda Sensing) 1. With the shift lever in Park (Neutral for M/T models), turn the ignition to ON.
  • Page 8 2. You will then see this screen, telling you the system is initializing (acquiring its location from the GPS satellites). Keep watching the screen. NOTE: Initialization averages about 10 minutes, but it can take as long as 45 minutes. If it completes within 10 minutes, the screen changes to the globe screen.
  • Page 9 5. With the shift lever in Park (Neutral for M/T models), turn the ignition to ON. 6. On the display, select HOME, then Settings. 7. Select Vehicle. 8. Select TPMS Calibration. 9. Select Calibrate. The message TPMS has been initialized will appear and the display will return to the customization menu screen.
  • Page 10 Activate the Audio System and Set the AM/FM Audio Unit Presets Models Without Navigation 1. After installing the No. 18 BACKUP (10 A) fuse, turn the ignition to ON, then press and hold the audio system power button for at least 2 seconds. This synchronizes the audio system with the vehicle and initializes it for use.
  • Page 11 5. Turn the knob to select Set, then push in the knob. Models with Display Audio 1. Turn the ignition to ON. 2. Select Home, then Settings. 3. Select Clock and move the vehicle outside so the GPS receiver can acquire a signal. Once a signal is acquired, the time will default to PST.

  • Page 13 NEW MODEL SERVICE INFORMATION Jacking and Lift Points Shown here are the applicable points to use when jacking this model or raising it on a lift. Use of any other points can cause deformation/damage. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Models with Display Audio come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both of these apps let the customer access and control his or her smartphone’s features from the dashboard display.

Here are some of its benefits: • Lower park position so the wipers are less noticeable • Reduced wind and cabin noise • Automatic intermittent wiping (EX-L, Touring) • Wiping zone adjustment if there is an obstruction When replacing wiper blades, you should first put the wipers into their service position.

Compared to a standard A/C compressor that can only deliver a 100 percent stroke, this compressor can deliver a stroke anywhere from zero to 100 percent. This provides the following benefits: •...
