Press the wheel bearing (A) out of the knuckle (B)
u s i n g t h e s p e c i a l t o o l s a n d a p r e s s ,

Press the wheel bearing inner race (A) out of the
h u b ( B ) u s i n g t h e s p e c i a l t o o l , a c o m m e r c i a l l y
available bearing separator {C), and a press.

23. Wash the knuckle and hub thoroughly in high flash
point solvent before reassembly.
2 4 . P r e s s a n e w w h e e l b e a r i n g ( A ) i n t o t h e k n u c k l e ( B )
u s i n g t h e o l d b e a r i n g ( C ) , a s t e e l p l a t e ( D ) . t h e
special tool, and a press. Place the wheel bearing
on the knuckle with the pack seal side (metal color)
facing inside. Be careful not to damage the sleeve
of the pack seal.
