Turn the ignition switch ON (ll).

ls thete about 0.3 V when the thtottle is tully
closed and about 4.5 V when the throttle is fully
opened?
YES Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck
(see page 1 1-5). lf the TP sensor voltage is now
n o r m a l , r e p l a c e t h e E C M . !
NO Repair short in the wire between the ECM
(C27) and the TP sensor. !
Measure voltage between ECM connector

NO Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck

2. Check the throttle position with the scan tool.
ls 9.4o/" or higher indicated when the throttle is
fully opened?
YES - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this

NO - Replace the TP sensor (throttle body).I
