Installation
1. Before installing the steering wheel, the front
wheels should be aligned straight ahead.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait at
least 3 minutes,
3. Set the cancel sleeve (A) so that the projections (B )
are aligned vertically.
4 . C a r e f u l l y i n s t a l l t h e c a b l e r e e l ( A ) o n t h e s t e e r i n g
column shaft. Then connect the 4P connector (B) to
the cable reel, and connect the 2P connector {C) to
t h e S R S m a i n h a r n e s s .
7 .
Install the steering column covers.
lf necessary, center the cable reel. (New
replacement cable reels come centered.) Do this by
first rotating the cable reel clockwise until it stops.
Then rotate it counterclockwise (aboul 2 1 /2 tu'ns)
u n t i l t h e a r r o w m a r k o n t h e c a b l e r e e l l a b e l p o i n t s
straight up.
Position the two tabs (A) of the turn signal
c a n c e l l i n g s l e e v e ( B ) a s s h o w n , a n d i n s t a l l t h e
steering wheel on to the steering column shaft,
m a k i n g s u r e t h e s t e e r i n g w h e e l h u b ( C ) e n g a g e s
the pins iD) of the cable reel and tabs of the
cancelling sleeve, Do not tap on the steering wheel
o r s t e e r i n g c o l u m n s h a f t w h e n i n s l a l l i n g t h e
steering wheel.
