Valves, Springs, and Valve Seals Removal

Valve spring compressor attachment 077 57 -P J'1010A
ldentify the valves and valve springs as they are
removed so that each item can be reinstalled in its
o r i g i n a l p o s i t i o n .
1 . R e m o v e t h e c y l i n d e r h e a d ( s e e p a g e 6 - 2 5 ) .
2. Using an appropriate-sized socket (A) and plastic
mallet (B), lightly tap the valve retainer to loosen
the valve keepers.
I n s t a l l t h e s p r i n g c o m p r e s s o r . C o m p r e s s t h e s p r i n g
and remove the valve keeDers.

4. Installthe valve guide seal remover.
5. Remove the valve seal.
