Overview Use this command to set the maximum power that can be supplied to a specific
cable pair. If the pair attempts to draw more than this, the switch will create a log
entry and stop supplying power over that pair.
Use the no variant of this command to remove the maximum power setting.
Syntax power-inline pair {data|spare} max <4000-100000>
no power-inline pair {data|spare} max
Default By default, the switch supplies the maximum power limit for the power class of the
PD connected to the port.
Mode Interface Configuration for PoE++ capable ports
Usage notes This command enables you to set the maximum power on individual cable pairs on
PoE++ ports, which may be helpful with dual-signature PDs. You can also use the
power-inline max
PoE++ ports, the
maximum power level.
The switch's total PoE budget is divided between all the PoE ports.
Example To enable the switch to supply up to 40W of power over ports 1.0.1-1.0.2, use the
commands:
