MagneMover LITE G4 Motors
The MagneMover LITE (MM LITE
integral rails and railless motors. Switches are only available with integral rails. Both motor
body styles perform the same and have the same operating specifications. The integral rails
are available in either aluminum or stainless steel.
The MagneMover LITE G4 motors are available with two different communication options.
•
RS-422 communication, which uses RS-422 between the motors and from the motors
to the node controllers.
•
Ethernet communication, which uses Ethernet between the motors and from the
motors to the node controllers.
Motors using either communication method perform the same and have the same operating
specifications.
•
All motors allow up to nine 62 mm vehicles (pucks) in motion per meter.
•
All motors allow up to 12 62 mm vehicles (pucks) in a queue per meter.
•
Shortest magnet array that is allowed is 1 cycle (standard 62 mm puck).
•
Thrust per magnet array at the nominal vehicle gap
(100% motor coil duty cycle).
•
Motor block length is 16.47 mm.
•
Internal motor controller.

The MagneMover LITE G4 motors are available with an air-cooled option. This option pro-
vides two integral ports for air connections (1.0 psig [6.9 kPa] max). Use both ports to provide
active cooling with forced air convection for sustained high-power operation. The primary
benefit of cooling the motor is that heat that is generated from motor operation can be quickly
removed from the motor with convection. This cooling allows larger continuous current and
power draw. Use one port with the second port closed, to operate the motors in a posi-
tive-pressure mode, which helps prevent ingress of foreign material into the motor body.
The motors with the air-cooled option are delivered with plugs that are installed in the ports,
which allows the motors to be used as standard MagneMover LITE motors. Remove the plugs
to use the air-cooled option.
*
Maximum number of vehicles (pucks) per meter is determined using a single array puck on a straight motor. Using a
dual array (tandem) vehicle or a curved motor decreases the number of vehicles that are allowed per meter.
†
Nominal vehicle gap (distance between the magnet array and the motor) is 1 mm for G3 magnet arrays and 1.5 mm
for G4.2 and later magnet arrays.
