Function of the velocity feedforward control
The velocity feedforward control influences the command action of the position-
controlled drive. It directly affects the speed control loop as a control factor and can
reduce the following error without compromising the stability of the control loop.
If you configure the Velocity feedforward control for position feedback control
parameter, the feedforward control calculates the following error that, based on the
current velocity, would result in the position controller and uses the calculated value
to determine the nominal velocity value to be added to the position controller output.
Configuring virtual axis keys
Depending on the setup of the connected machine tool, you can configure virtual
axis keys that allow you to traverse the NC axes.
Settings ► Axes ► General settings ► Virtual axis keys

Explanation
Assignment of the digital input for the confirmation key, for
example at the operating panel of the machine to enable the virtu-
al traverse keys.
Assignment of an input is optional; if you assign an input, the virtu-
al axis keys work only if a signal is present at the configured input
Default value: Not connected
Adding virtual axis keys (jog buttons) to an axis; tapping the Add
button opens a dialog box in which you can select the desired axis
Selecting the axis to be moved with the virtual axis keys
Defines whether the keys are to be configured as switches or push
buttons
Settings:
ON: The axis key is configured as a switch. Traverse can be
started by tapping once and stopped by tapping again
OFF: The axis key is configured as a button. Traverse
continues only as long as the button is pressed and held
Default value: OFF
The axis keys for the axis are removed.
