5 - Removal and Re-installation

5.17.2 Remove

To remove the image print head, follow these steps:
1) Make sure the image printer looks like the one below. Colors may vary, but the shape should not. If
the image printer you are replacing looks different, see section 5.12 How to Remove / Re-install the
Image Print Head (EC2000 with ECP1).
2) Gather the replacement image print head.
3) Write down or take a photo of the code shown on the white label stuck on the new print head. You
will be asked for this code in a later step after the image printer is closed.
4) Open the EC3000 top access door (see D998200281 ExpressCard 3000 Installation and
Operation Manual for details).
