5 - Removal and Re-installation
5.14 How to Remove / Re-install the Image Printer Module (EC2000 with
ECP2, EC3000)

Prepare device for removing / reinstalling modules
Park XY transport carriage and hopper shuttle at front
Remove or lean back the top access door
Remove the image printer (3 screws, 3 cables)
Install the new image printer
Configure software
Re-install top access door
Calibrate XY, Hopper, Ribbon
Approximate time to remove: 30 minutes plus any sub-procedures
Approximate time to re-install: 30 minutes plus any sub-procedures
The image printer, located in the rear center of the device, takes blank card stock from the hopper
transport, encodes any required data onto the card, produces images on both sides, and ejects the card out
the other side to be retrieved by the XY transport.
