Step 2 Remove the cables from the smoke detector and apply insulation measures such as wrapping
the cables with insulation tape to avoid hazards.
Step 3 Install a new smoke detector and reconnect the cables.
Step 4 Install the new smoke detector to the base by rotating it in a direction opposite to

indicator changes from blinking once every 6s to steady on. If a smoke detector fire alarm is
triggered, the smoke detector is functional.

7.2.5.4 Replacing an Infrared Sensor

Prerequisites


Procedure
Step 1 Connect the ground cable to the ESD wrist strap, and put on the ESD wrist strap and ESD
gloves.
Step 2 Disconnect the signal and power cables from the infrared sensor and record the cable
connection positions.
Step 3 Remove the infrared sensor from the support buckle.
Step 4 Connect the signal and power cables for the new infrared sensor according to the information
you recorded.
Step 5 Mount the new infrared sensor on the support buckle and adjust the sensor angle.
