16. Using a flathead screwdriver, install the snap ring in the groove.
CAUTION:

17. While holding the one-way clutch component, inspect that the planetary gear turns to right (clockwise)
but does not turn to left (counterclockwise).
CAUTION:
2008 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring
Align the opening of the snap ring with the position shown in
the figure.
Do not damage the VSS.
