ELECTRIC SYSTEM - DIAGNOSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

7.2.3 CHECK THE CHARGE WARNING LAMP FOR MALFUNCTION.

Normal operating condition
- Before starting the engine (key switch in "ON" posi-
tion): Charge warning lamp ON
- After starting the engine: Charge warning lamp OFF

Check item (method)
1. Check voltage
- The voltage between the Pin
No. 8 of cluster and ground ter-
minal (No. 13) should be below
the battery voltage (approx. 3 V)
when the key switch is in "ON"
position.
2. Check the fuse 5 (headlamp)
1. Check if the bulb fi lament is
blown.
(visual check)
1. Check the No. 5 fuse in the
fuse box.
