5.18 PREHEAT RELAY (4P)

The preheat relay is attached to the relay bracket
under the hood.
The preheat relay is used to activate the glow plugs.
RELAY TEST

To perform the relay test, disconnect and remove the
relay from the wiring.
Check the resistance and continuity within the resis-
tance range (Ω) of a tester.
Numbers on the auxiliary relay terminals indicate cor-
responding coil and contact.
