TRANSMISSION - TROUBLESHOOTING
Cause
• Excessive oil
• Loose bolt
• Damaged oil seal, O-ring or gasket
• Cracked transmission housing
• Insuffi cient oil
• Improper gear backlash
• Worn gear
• Worn bearing
• Improper gear engagement
• Damaged silence chain
• Worn or bent shift fork
• Loose detent spring
• Loose or improperly adjusted cable
• Worn or bent shift fork or shift arm
• Worn or deformed shift lever
Service
• Adjust the oil level.
• Retighten the bolt.
• Replace the damaged parts.
