IMPORTANT
• When connecting the brake hose to the caliper,
insert the copper washers (1) to the both ends
and tighten it to the specifi ed torque. The copper
washers should be replaced with new ones
during sassembly.
Specifi ed torque .............16.0 ~ 21.0 Nm

5.2 FRONT WHEEL BRAKE REMOVAL
(BRAKE PAD AND DISC REPLACEMENT)
1. Remove the axle cap (1). Then, remove the ball
joint bolt mounting split pin (2) and slotted nut (3).
2. Unscrew the brake caliper (4) mounting bolts to re-
move the brake caliper and brake disc (5).
3. Refer to the description in the section "Rear wheel
brake removal" in this chapter for disassembly pro-
cedures related to the brake pad and disc replace-
ment work.
