the connecting rod with the piston so that it faces
the injection pump along with the arrow mark (B) on
the piston.

6.3.5 THERMOSTAT

1. Remove the two thermostat cover bolts (M8,1) from
the coolant fl ange.
2. Pull out the thermostat (2).
3. During reassembly, discard the old gasket and
clean the gasket mating surface thoroughly. Then,
apply Three Bond 1215 or equivalent to the new
gasket surface and install the gasket.
