5.3.2 DUMPING CYLINDER DISASSEMBLY

1. Turn the head cover (1) counterclockwise from the
dumping cylinder to remove the piston rod assem-
bly (using the notched groove).
2. Secure the piston rod assembly in a vise and un-
screw the nut to remove the nut (1), spring washer
(2), piston assembly (3), head cover (4) and piston
rod (5) in order.

• When installing the head cover, check the
condition of the O-ring (1). If it is not intact,
replace with a new one and apply a sufficient
amount of oil on the new one before installation.

• When installing the piston, be careful not to
switch the mounting locations of the piston
packing (1) and wear ring (2). Also, be sure to
install them in the correct direction.
