6. Movable Drive Face Position Sensor Signal Line
Short Circuit Inspection
Check the continuity between the movable drive
face position sensor 3P connector of the wire
side and ground.
CONNECTION: Yellow/blue – Ground
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
7. Failure Reproduction
Install the movable drive face position sensor
(page 24-52).
Erase the DTC's from the PCM (page 24-10).
Perform the Honda S Matic System initial setting
procedure (page 24-61).
Test-ride the scooter then retrieve the problem
code (page 24-8).
Does the meter display "F" blink 29 times?
YES
NO
METER DISPLAY "F" 33 BLINKS:
EEPROM
1. Failure Reproduction
Erase the DTC's from the PCM (page 24-10).
Perform the Honda S Matic System initial setting
procedure (page 24-61).
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch " ".
Start the engine and check for blinks of the
meter display "F".
Does the meter display "F" blink 33 times?
YES
NO

– Short circuit in Yellow/blue wire
– GO TO STEP 7.
– Replace the PCM with a known good
one, and recheck.
– Intermittent failure
– GO TO STEP 2.
– Intermittent failure. Perform the Honda
