CURRENT FUEL CONSUMPTION
METER INSPECTION (NSS250A)
• The current fuel consumption meter has the fuel
consumption of the average and instant.
• The current fuel consumption meter displays the
calculated average fuel consumption by receiv-
ing the pulse signals of the PCM from the point
where the meter is reset.
• When ignition switch is turned OFF, the calcu-
lated value of the distance and fuel consumption
after reset should be stored in EEPROM. If the
value is not stored, [ _ _ . _ ] (under score)
(EEPROM failure) will be displayed when the
ignition switch is turned ON and the calculation
will be disabled.
Instant fuel consumption stays shown 0 km/h (0
mph)
1. Combination Meter Inspection
Inspect the combination meter voltage input
lines and ground line (page 22-10).
Are the lines normal?
YES
NO
2. VS Sensor Signal Input Line Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check the VS sensor (page 22-18).
Is there normal?
YES
NO
Average fuel consumption indicator shows [ _ _ . _ ]
(under score: EEPROM failure) with test probe
1. Reset The TRIP A
Display the "TRIP A" by pressing the MODE but-
ton.
Push and hold the RESET switch for 2 second.
When the meter is reset properly, [ – – . – ]
(hyphen) will be displayed.
Is there normal?
YES
NO
2. Combination Meter Inspection
Inspect the combination meter voltage input
lines and ground line (page 22-10).
