FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Remove the caps.
Remove the socket bolts and upper holders.
Remove the handlebar.
Remove the throttle grip/right handlebar switch
housing from the handlebar.
Disconnect the throttle cables from the throttle pipe.
INSTALLATION
When removing the throttle grip from the throttle
pipe, apply Honda Bond A or equivalent to the
inside of the throttle grip and to the clean surfaces
of the throttle pipe.
Apply Honda Bond A or equivalent to the inside of
the handlebar grip and to the clean surfaces of the
left handlebar.
Wait 3 – 5 minutes and install the grips.

Apply 0.10 – 0.20 g (0.004 – 0.007 oz) of grease to the
throttle pipe flange groove and throttle cable end.
Install the throttle pipe to the right handlebar switch
housing and connect the throttle cables to the throt-
tle pipe flange grooves.
• Route the cables properly (page 1-21).
