Sensor Inspection

Replace the O
known good one (page 6-107).
Disconnect the test harness and connect the
PCM 33P (Black) connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch " ".
Start the engine and warm it up until the engine
oil temperature is 80°C (176°F).
Test-ride the scooter and recheck the MIL blink-
ing.
Does the MIL blink 21 times?
YES
NO
MIL 29 BLINKS (IACV)
• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the IACV 4P (Black) connector
and recheck the MIL blinking.
1. IACV Short Circuit Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check the continuity between the IACV 4P con-
nector of the wire side and ground.
CONNECTION: Light green/red – Ground
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
2. IACV Open Circuit Inspection
Connect the test harness to PCM 33P connector.
check the continuity between the test harness
and IACV 4P connector of the wire side.
CONNECTION: 12 – Brown/red
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
