SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
• Support the engine using a jack or other adjustable support to ease of engine mounting bolt removal.
• When removing/installing the engine, tape the frame around the engine beforehand for frame protection.
• The following components can be serviced with the engine installed in the frame.
– Oil pump (page 5-9)
– Throttle body (page 6-82)
– Water pump (page 7-11)
– Camshaft (page 9-8)
– Cylinder head (page 9-11)
– Cylinder/Piston (page 10-4)
– NSS250S: Drive pulley (page 11-11)
– NSS250A: Drive pulley (page 11-18)
– Final reduction (page 12-6)
– Alternator (page 13-7)
– Starter clutch (page 13-9)
• The following components require engine removal for service.
