METER DISPLAY "F" 11 BLINKS: VS
sensor no signal
• Before starting troubleshooting, check for loose
or poor contacts on the following connectors,
then recheck the "F" blinking.
– VS sensor 3P (Black) connector
– PCM 33P (Black) connector
1. System Inspection
Place the scooter on its center stand.
Start the engine, open the throttle slightly and
check if the speedometer goes up.
Does the speedometer operate normally?
YES
NO
2. VS Sensor Input Line Continuity Inspection
Connect the test harness 33P to the PCM 33P
(Black) connector (page 6-17).
Disconnect the VS sensor 3P (Black) connector
(page 22-20).
Check the continuity between the VS sensor 3P
connector of the wire side and test harness ter-
minal.
CONNECTION: A19 – Pink/green
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
3. VS Sensor Input Line Short Circuit Inspection
Check the continuity between the PCM connec-
tor of the wire side and ground.
CONNECTION: Pink/green – Ground
Is there continuity?
YES
NO

– GO TO STEP 2.
– Inspect the speedometer and VS sensor
(page 22-18).
– GO TO STEP 3.
– Open circuit in Pink/green wire
– Short circuit in Pink/green wire
– Replace the PCM with a known good
one, and recheck.
