Honda Smart Card Key System
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check the continuity between the test harness 21P
and ground.
CONNECTION: 1 – Ground
There is continuity if the system is normal.
If there is no continuity, check for open circuit in
Green and/or Green/black wire.
HANDLE LOCK MODULE
COMMUNICATION LINE INSPECTION
(NSS250S: WITH TEST PROBE)
Disconnect the following connectors:
– Handle lock module 21P (Black) connector (page
23-26)
– ECM 33P (Black) connector (page 6-95)
Check the continuity between the handle lock mod-
ule 21P and ECM 33P connectors of the wire side
using the special tool.
TOOL:
Test probe
CONNECTION: Yellow/green – Yellow/green
There is continuity if the system is normal.
If there is no continuity, check for open circuit in Yel-
low/green wire.
HANDLE LOCK MODULE
COMMUNICATION LINE INSPECTION
(NSS250S: WITH TEST HARNESS)
Connect the test harnesses:
– Handle lock module 21P (Black) connector and
main harness (page 23-17)
– ECM 33P (Black) connector and main harness
(page 6-17)
TOOL:
ECM test harness 33P
Check the continuity between the test harness 21P
and 33P connectors.
CONNECTION: 13 (33P SIDE) – 17 (21P SIDE)
There is continuity if the system is normal.
If there is no continuity, check for open circuit in Yel-
low/green wire.
