CYLINDER HEAD/VALVES

Clean the cam sprocket bolt threads, then apply

locking agent to the cam sprocket bolt threads (coat-

ing width 6.5 ± 1.0 mm (0.26 ± 0.04 in) from the tip

of exclude 2.0 – 3.0 mm (0.08 – 0.12 in)).

Install the cam sprocket bolts to the cam sprocket

and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

TORQUE: 16 N·m (1.6 kgf·m, 12 lbf·ft)

Retract the push rod while pushing the tab and

release the lock.

Install a new gasket to the cam chain tensioner

Install the cam chain tensioner lifter by aligning its

cut-out with the cut-out of the cylinder.

Install and tighten the bolts securely.

Install the spring, a new washer and sealing bolt

and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.

TORQUE: 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)

Install the following:

– Left crankcase cover (page 11-9)

– Cylinder head cover (page 9-25)
