ANSWER BACK RELAY

INSPECTION
Remove the fuse/relay box cover (page 3-17).
Remove the answer back relay.
Connect the ohmmeter to the answer back relay
connector terminals.
CONNECTION: A – B
Connect the 12 V battery to the following answer
back relay connector terminals.
CONNECTION: C – D
There should be continuity only when the 12 V bat-
tery is connected.
If there is no continuity when the 12 V battery is
connected, replace the answer back relay.

ANSWER BACK DIODE

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the screen garnish (page 3-18).
Remove the diode from the wire harness.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
