Honda Smart Card Key System
Disconnect the handle lock module 21P (Black) con-
nector (page 23-26).
Check the continuity between the handle lock mod-
ule 21P and registration 2P connectors.
TOOL:
Test probe
CONNECTION: Black/green – Black/green
There is continuity if the system is normal.
If there is no continuity, check for open circuit in
Black/green and/or Green/black wire.
REGISTRATION CONNECTOR LINE
INSPECTION (WITH TEST HARNESS)
Remove the battery cover (page 19-6).
Connect the test harness 21P between the handle
lock module 21P (Black) connector and main har-
ness (page 23-17).
Remove the dummy connector.
Release the registration 2P (Red) connector from the
battery band.
Check the continuity between the test harness 21P
and registration connector.
CONNECTION: 20 – Black/green
There is continuity if the system is normal.
If there is no continuity, check for open circuit in
Black/green wire and Green/black wire.
