CRANKCASE/CRANKSHAFT/BALANCER
DISASSEMBLY/INSPECTION
Check the timing sprockets for wear or damage.
Measure the connecting rod big end side clearance
with a feeler gauge.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.40 mm (0.016 in)

Set the crankshaft on a stand or V-blocks to the
main journals as shown.
Set a dial gauge on the main journal of the crank-
shaft.
Rotate the crankshaft two revolutions and read the
runout.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.10 mm (0.004 in)
Clean the oil jet, oil passage with compressed air.
