MAINTENANCE
Inspect or replace as described in the maintenance
schedule (page 4-4).
Clean the spark plug electrodes with a wire brush or
special plug cleaner.
Check the insulator and replace the spark plug if it is
cracks or damage, and the electrodes for wear, foul-
ing or discoloration.
Always use the specified spark plug on this scooter.
SPECIFIED SPARK PLUG:
Standard: LMAR8A-9
Measure the spark plug gap between the center and
side electrodes with a feeler gauge of a wire type.
SPARK PLUG GAP:
0.80 – 0.90 mm (0.031 – 0.035 in)
If necessary, adjust the spark plug gap by bending
the side electrode carefully.
Install the spark plug in the cylinder head and hand

tighten, then tighten the spark plug to the specified

TORQUE: 16 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 12 lbf·ft)
Connect the spark plug cap by aligning its hole with
the tab of the cylinder head cover.
