CRANKCASE/CRANKSHAFT/BALANCER
INSTALLATION
Install a new oil seal to the left crankcase using spe-
cial tools.
TOOLS:
Driver
Attachment, 62 x 68 mm
Install the snap ring into the groove in the crank-
case.
• Check that the snap ring is seated in the groove.
• Do not reuse the snap ring which could easily
spin in the groove.
Apply grease to the oil seal lips and outer surface.
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the main journal
bearing mating surfaces of the crankshaft.
Install the crankshaft to the left crankcase.
Assemble the crankcase halves (page 14-21).
